The FOR OUR KIDS concept has come out of the Taskforce on youth wellbeing, The taskforce is comprised members of the Wanganui District Council, Whanganui Iwi, The Whanganui Youth Sector, Police, The Whanganui District Health Board and government agencies such as the Ministry of Education, Child Youth and Families Services and the Ministry of Social Development

FOR OUR KIDS would like to hear from Community Organisations, Schools, Sports clubs, interest groups and anyone who works with young people about how FOR OUR KIDS can support you by finding FOR OUR KIDS accredited volunteers to help you do what you do best

FOR OUR KIDS are currently seeking corporate support for this initiative. There are a number of ways that Wanganui Employers can get behind the FOR OUR KIDS initiative, by granting their employees regular time off work to volunteer in our community, by supporting FOR OUR KIDS events, and by becoming FOR OUR KIDS accredited
